I'm a guy and I'm 14 years old and a freshman. I want to try out a sport at school next year when I'm a sophomore, maybe tennis, or something else if they add new sports. I sort of regret not doing a sport this year and I want to try out the next.
The thing is though, I really don't know if I should because I haven't ever actually done a sport ever really. My parents never did put me in a sport ever when I was little and I never even played one for fun either because I'm an only child and had no one to play with, I was practically a loner until 8th grade, and my parents wouldn't play with me either. So, I'm pretty skinny, but i am seriously out of shape. A reason for that is that our high school is a new one and we have only begun doing PE since January. Another is that I still don't do anything physical at all other than PE. So, I don't know if doing a sport would actually be worth it, because I don't want to just try and be told that I'm not good enough to join a team, and then just feel bad. So, if anyone has any opinions or suggestions, I would be glad to hear them. Sorry this question is long, but I just need help. Thanks.
