I had a boyfriend when I was 18, and when we tried to have sex, it just wouldn’t work. He was HUGE (down there), and I am a really small girl, (5’1” and weigh about 110). I also think part of it had to do with the fact that he kept trying to shove it in instead of taking things slowly (sorry if this is too graphic), so it would just hurt so much. The same thing happened when he tried to finger me, he would try to jam his finger inside without any foreplay or anything. He also didn’t treat me that well; plus, I don’t think I felt emotionally ready to have sex at 18, even though everyone else was.
Now, I am 21, and I feel like I am not normal. I feel like everyone has had sex besides me, but I am scared to try again with the guy I am dating now. Is the pain a common problem, or could there be something wrong with me? Also, could guys think there is something wrong with me when I tell them I am still virgin? I don’t want to tell them the real reason why I am.
