Should I trim my palm fronds?

I have a young majesty palm. its probably 7 feet tall at the top of the tallest frond. its trunk is about 3 feet tall now. i just recently purchased it half off from home depot. the way it came has some of the mature frond tips brown and crispy, alot of yellow, then the base of the palm fronds still have a little green on them. my landscaping buddy told me it may be wind burn from traveling on the truck before it made it to home depot. my question is should i leave the fronds alone or remove them. im not sure if they are somewhat alive still since they do have some green in them. thanks for the help.
