i live in texas. i'm a freshman. i've played violin since the age of 4, and am capable of playing with a university orchestra, which i have before. music is most definitely what i wanna do in life. one of the biggest problems i have is that the city i live in (i live in texas) doesn't have a performing arts high school, and i really really want to be at one. also, i go to a magnet high school and only the top 10 percent of students in this region get accepted, so i don't know if i transfer to a performing arts school i'll mess anything up or if i don't make it in music i won't be able to go back. so, should i transfer? if i should, which schools do you recommend or how do you think i should do this since i don't live in an area where there are any?
i just noticed that all the schools only talk about kids in middle school that are applying... does this mean it's too late for me to apply?!
i go to a conservatory of music, a four year course. it's every saturday, 3 classes (i get sight reading, piano, and performance or jazz), but i really feel like this isn't enough! i want music every day. private lessons once a week, orchestra at school every other day, the city's youth symphony practice once a week, and the conservatory on saturdays isn't enough! i don't learn enough, i want more
