Another pro with the US military is that since I have a 4 year degree, I will be eligible to be an Officer and if I finish OSC training, I will be O-1 or Second Lieutenant which is a pretty high rank.
What would you do if you were in my position?
Teach English in S. Korea
pros: I get to obtain the f-4 visa which gives me more flexibility in Korea. I will be paid 2 million won per month. The instiution is well-known and it is a good place to work for, esp. ESL teachers with no experience. I probably will save $8,000-$10,000 by the end of the year. They will pay round-trip ticket and provide a single room accomodation for me. I get to experience something completely new, and get to live in a foreign country for a year.
cons: The currency is weak so I will get less dollars after exchanging it, and I need to send money back home to pay off my student loans. There are numerous risks involved in living and teaching in a Foreign country. One good example is the risk that the institution will postpone and not pay my wage. The cost-of-living is relatively high in S.Korea. After the 1 year contract is up, what's next for me? Will I get more opportunities, and find jobs that will pay me more? If I start on this path, then I probably have to continue on this path for the rest of my life. Would teaching English in S.Korea be a sufficient source of income, especially to pay off my student loans?

Join the US military
Pro: Many benefits, and they will pay off all my student loans in 3 years(I have $30,000 plus in federal loans). I also have about $30,000 in private loans and I will be able to replace it with a military loan that provides a lower interest rate.
Cons: Go through the bs in the army and basically become Uncle Sam's bitch.
