I'm an incoming freshman and this is my schedule:

Honors English
Honors Biology
Algebra 1
French 1
Symphonic Orchestra
PE

There is about 20 days left until schools starts and for the AP class I need to read a 240 page book and do about 2 essays on it. The thing is, I'm not sure if I should take the AP. I want to do something in the medical profession when I get older, and history dosn't really have anything to do with that... I just want to have an impressive GPA and schedule for my collage application and stuff like that :) I like to plan ahead.
Should I add an AP class to my schedule or just keep it honors?
Thanks :)

Well, i took honors world history, and its alot of work.We had lots of homework and papers and it was alot.
Though you want to have an impressive college application you have to know what you can handle. Im taking two honors classes this year and 2 ap classes. It gets tough but if i stay on track its pretty good.

so go with what you feel :]

Starting off with one AP class is a good way to get adjusted. I took AP World, and it wasn't as bad as everyone claimed. Your schedule doesn't seem to be that overwhelming...and reading the books is just another assignment. Right now, I have to read 3 books and complete 6 chapters of my U.S. History book. This shows that it only gets more difficult to do an AP class as you get older. Trust me, taking it now is a great way to ensure future success. :)
