I have taken Honors Math and Honors English both 9th and 10th grade years earning A's and A+;s, in them, this year alone aka 10th grade i earned all A+'s in my classes. other classes have been regular. I want to impress colleges but yet i don't want to take a class that's AP if it won't help me later in life. I didn't take honors world history this year but did really good at it. I know i'm taking AP Calc my senior year but i'm just not sure if i should take Ap History or not, i don't want to make a huge mistake of taking the class, doing horrible or NOT taking the class and regretting that i could have impressed colleges.

Do you like the subject? I do NOT recommend taking an AP course if you do not like the subject. Based on what you are telling us, you are definitely competent academically, but really having a passion to learn about history rather than fretting about the grade is what results in a successful and rewarding AP course.

Many good colleges (such as the Ivies) do not take too many AP courses for college credit anyway. But I would check where you specifically want to go and see if they take AP History.

take it it would help you later on in college & the future anything you can do in high school as ap would be credited to whatever college you go to ... meaning that you will get out of college faster!
