I finished sophomore year last spring. I was an Economics-mathematics major, planning to work in the finance industry later on. I did an accounting internship last few months and thought it was kind of a boring job, and that I wasn't getting out any satisfaction.
So i decided I wanted to switch to pre-med. I am good in the sciences and took a full year of chem classes this summer. Got 2 A's. I also volunteered at a hospital to get a feel of the environment.
But i'm still doubtful and don't know if i want to continue the pre-med path! To be a doctor is an honor, it's an incredible, honorable, and worthy profession. But sometimes I ask myself whether I'd be able to deal with patient's stresses and worries on a day to day basis and still don't consider medicine a passion. I just think it's a very rewarding job. But i still love math and wonder if I can find another profession that involves quant ability. I want to try everything but there is so little time.
WHAT QUESTIONS SHOULD I ASK MYSELF WHEN CONSIDERING PRE-MED??
thank you so much
