Right now me and my pops have verizon wireless and our contract is about to expire, so we were thinking to switch to att. If we go to att, i want an iphone.

1500 txt = 15.00
Data Plan(Mandatory with iphone) = 30.00
Everything added up = 104.99 + tax = about 110.00
My dad pays 113.31 for Verizon wireless.
So we would be saving about 39.72 a year. But i was wondering could i cut cost by jailbreaking the iphone and maybe not pay the data plan? Is there anyway to cut costs by using a jailbroken iphone?
