I was in the Barber Shop yesterday.I was getting my Afro trimmed and an line up.While i was there i got in a conversation with 2 gentlemen.They were talking about how white's wrote black's out of history (which i already knew.Benin Empire,Great Zimbabwe,Ancient Nubia are a few examples),about how interracial dating is bad (i don't understand what's wrong with it.I don't interracial date though because i'm not attracted to non black women), and how black people should shop at black business's only.From food, to electronics, to television,music,movies and books, just everything black.I asked why and they both said that a community can not function if you don't own the business's.Saying that 34% of black's are unemployed and that white's are racist because they think black's are unemployed because we're "lazy".One of the men said we are doing so bad because we are being discriminated against by whites.And that we will have a mentality that white's are the standard humans if we mainly watch white movies,play white video games,watch white television etc...So should i only shop at black business's?If you disagree please tell me, and give me a detailed explanation as to why this argument is flawed.And if you agree please tell me, and give me a detailed explanation to why this argument is correct, and that i should shop at only black owned business's.Thanks in advance.
