Should I sell my stereo system or just check myself in to detox?

...the cost factor is a break even. Selling my Amp, disc player, speakers, etc. would defray the cost of detox.I'm on the fence on this one. So, what would you do? Leave behind a life of intoxication or leave behind music?

Answers from those who understand appreciated. Plz and Thx.

Thx Vassal. Sounds like you get it. Yeah, I'd have to sell my gear to pay for treatment. We'll see. Thx for the well wishes also. ~peace~

Your notes differ from your initial question so I'm slightly confused; can you get detox treatment without the cost equivalent to your system or would it have to go to pay for it?
If you can get community health-based treatment that's well monitored and well supported and hang onto your gear while you ditch the habits, do it, clearly.
If you feel you need new and clean surroundings to make the break then do what you have to and don't look back. Don't make the same associations, have the same people over who've been holding you back, all that stuff, but do it quick while you want to.
Once things are different you stand a better chance of saving up for whole new stuff anyway. Your life & future prospects, if it comes right down to that, are worth more than your sound system.
Make the change, it sounds like you truly want to. Good luck with however it goes.
