I have a '96 Accord that has 183K miles on it. It has a new radiator, and it gets 35mpg. Should I just replace the AC for $1000 or is it too risky that the car may crap out on me in less than a year?
O yeah...and I'm on a college student's budget. A college student with a part time job....
I went to the mechanic and my compressor is busted. And because it is an older model car, the entire AC unit has to be replaced. The estimate is about $898...so I assume I'll pay around $1000. The freakin parts are only $200...but it takes so long to do that it's $700 in labor. Grrr...
I live in Louisiana. It was 93 today. probably 70% humidity. Only 1 window works.
