Hello,
Should I remap my bike after exhaust upgrade?
I’m replacing my stock exhaust with a slip on Yoshi R55, and the Suzuki tech guys are asking me to remap my bike which will cost me an extra £160. Is this really necessary? The only reason I’m getting the R55 is it get rid of the pony c**k exhaust and improve the acoustics. I’m not really into performance racing and £160 pounds seems to be a lot of money, or I’m I underestimating the remap benefits & work required?! Would I lose some BHP by swapping the exhaust without a remap?
Thanks,
Sean
yes remapping means tuning an engine for better performance or fuel efficiency by reprogramming the Engine control unit. Some people call it re-jetting...
