I had a 15 gallon tank where I have had several fish. I recently bought a 60 gallon tank and transplanted my Clown Knife into the tank with several other fish. I also purchased several other small catfish that grow to be very big (although it will take years until they outgrow this tank.)
I have a very small Striped Rafael Catfish & a very small Asian Redtail catfish. These fish are both nocturnal like my Clown Knife, and they tend to hide in the same places and I worry that one day the Clown Knife just roll over in the morning and swallow one of them. I also have a Pleco, and I know there is something about Plecos that keep other fish from bothering them, and I know that the Rafeal is in the same family.
I was thinking that I should keep the catfish in my 15 gallon tank until they are bigger, but I have a small ghost knife in that tank that is awfully shy.
