my son and girlfriend? I have a very big dilemma. I have a 16 year old son who is my world and I have a girlfriend who I love very much. We've been together 11 months and she moved into our house 3 months ago (my son lives with me and his mother lives downstate). My son hates her with a passion. At first, things were fine but then around 5 months ago, things went downhill and I'm starting to think something going on. I work out of town quite often (at least once every couple months) for 3 to 4 days and for the past year, I've left him by himself doing that time (he's more than responsible enough) but ever since my new girlfriend moved in, she's been home with him. They are both at each other's throats when I come home and both give me two completely different stories on what happened so I don't know what to think. He says she's "evil" and treats him like crap and she says he's disrespectful to her when I'm not around. I have a huge problem with what they're both saying about each other. Nicole seems really nice to my son when I'm around and my kid is NOT disrespectful to anyone, but then again, I don't know what's happening when I'm gone. One of them is lying and my gut is telling me Nicole is but I care for her a lot and I don't want to just end things without any hard proof. I bought one of those nanny cam things and I'm leaving for work tomorrow and will be back Tuesday but I don't know if I should do it. It seems morally wrong on a few levels but I can't think of any other solutions. Any advice?
