In reading the literary agents information pages on submission, literary assessment are spoken of sparingly, and those sites that do mention them say they are optional.... However in reading the Assessment Services web pages they make it sound essential to a manuscript to pay to have it professionally assessed before even approaching an agent. I imagine the assessment servies information would be biased. Does anyone have any opinions on what I should do?
