I have just moved into a new home and my back garden fences are 3 different colours(I have neighbours each side and one behind me)Can I paint them a colour of my choice or its the neighbours who should do it.It looks a real mess

You can paint the fence in your garden any colour you want . the neighboure the other side of the fence can also paint his side the colour he wants He is not allowed to come your side and paint your side so YESpaint it what ever colour you want good luck

Yoy can pain them to suit you. However because they are 3 different colours, finding something that will make them all look the same will be difficult. From your descriptio I think you refer to wood panel fencing. With a single coat there is no realistic chance of them coming out the same colour, and with multiple coats the paint will quickly peel off and look even worse. Suggest it may be better (well it will look better) if you brighten the whole thing up by keeping three different colours - but obviously colours you like. You may well have to make the best of a bad job. Alternative is to paint them a very dark colour and then help disguise the panels with bright evergreen climbing plants, but this may take 3 or 4 years to achive.
Good luck

yer if they are on yr side of the fence paint them wot ever colour u want mine r a nice blue

I would probably paint. If nothing else start by spending a bit on a base coat of paint in a colour that could help even out the differences, such as a white or grey. Talking to people at the nearest supply shop may give better ideas. Some sort of sealing coat may also be available.
After the first coat dries, the second coat (preferred colour) ought to dry fairly consistently.
