I burned candles down in my tub, which I do often. They usually burn straight down to the wick or leave a small color stain which I've always been able to clean up easily. This time, the wax melted all over the place and though the wax cleaned up very easily, it seems to have left major color stains. I used comet, OxyClean, and bleach, to no avail. My roommate and landlord won't be happy at all about this. Now I'm thinking maybe the best thing to do is to to do a corrective paint job just on the stains, but I have no idea how to go about it. What kind of paint to use? Should I sand before hand? Will the corrective paint be obvious? The tub is really old and should probably be replaced, so I would want the paint to blend is as much as possible. Any suggestions? Please help! Thanks!
