Should I message/text him? or would it scare him off?

Last weekend at a party I danced with this guy Ive liked for ages, and I danced with him for like ten minutes which is pretty long by my standards, and it was not just a dirty dance, he had his hands on my waist and was stating at me and smiling the whole time (he wasnt drunk and neither was I becuse we both had to drive home) and he seemed interested in me, the next day he even picked a flower and put it behind my ear, and he was totally giving me the vibes and he gave me a lingering hug goodbye, but the day after that he totally ignored me and now im so confused! should I text/messge him to say hello or something? its been four days now and im so confused, what if he is waiting for me to text him? then what if I dont text him he might think im not interested and he might get over it... or what if he likes a differnet girl and was just using me to make her jealous? eekkk I dont know what to do!
