should i... Mazda rx-8?

I'm about to turn 18 and want a sports car, i've been looking at rx-8's because it comes in a 4 door and has a backseat (i normally have a carseat for my bf's daughter) would an rx-8 be a good investment?
 
an RX-8 is a great car, considering the small nature of the car the backseat is small as well.. for the price it is you're paying more for performance rather than comfort, you could get something a whole lot bigger and safer for the same price say.. a Mazda 3? =)
 
It depends on how you see/uses it.

If you need it for a weekend thrill drive, its fine.
But if you use it for daily drive(heavy user), then you better think twice.
Petrol consumption and wear & tear parts arent cheap.
