Should I listen to music while I bike?

I really like riding my bike, but sometimes I get bored just riding aimlessly on my neighborhood bike path. All of my friends live in towns far away, so I can't meet up with them. Would it be alright to ride on my bike path with one ear bud in? I wouldn't be blasting the music or anything. There are little intersections you have to cross, but most of the time there are stop signs for the cars. So, should I?
 
why wouldnt you? even if your listening to music you are still paying attention to your surroundings. Therefor you can still see if cars or perhaps chuck norris are about to hit you. so it really wouldnt hurt. just make sure you still ay attention to stuff.
