Should I let my friend jailbreak my iPod?

That person totally messed with you its not illegal google it. One bad thing about a jailbroken ipod is if it breaks apple will not fix it for you. Other then that jailbroken is alot better. Theres some informating in that link about things people have complained about after jail breaking
NO, it is ABSOLUTELY ILLEGAL, if a police officer finds you with a jailbroken ipod, you will be arrested and fully pressed with the full extent of the LAW. You'd end up with 15 years in a State prison, (20 if your in Florida, Alabama, Texas, Washington, Hawaii, New York, California, and Washington D.C.).

I would not jailbreak an ipod. It shortens the ipods overall life and decreases the value.
