Should I keep this book idea?

I'm not really sure whether I want to write this as a book or not. I'm writing a series of eight but I'm not sure about this idea. I have a magical world, but some rare villain fuses together, the elements of that world and earth, to create a new world. However, the magical creatures are good, and the selfish portion of the humans, take advantage of them. A war breaks out between the two races and four children must find a war to unfuse the worlds and seperate them, until this new world is left in misery.

Should I keep this or no and please be honest :)
 
I think this idea is definately great. When you start writing it and lose yourself in a world you love, you'll love YOURSELF for keeping the idea.
No idea is stupid.
It's just the way you write it.
Now go write a bestseller! =)
