I like the sound of the things they do such as shooting, fitness,the DofE award and field craft but i have a number of problems in my way...
1) I am not very patriotic at all since I have dual nationality and come from Africa,a place where britain had a very murky military history, will joining the cadets mean i have to disguard the roots i am very proud of?
2) I am muslim and I am worried that being anywhere near the armed forces will mean i am discriminated against.
3)I am part libyan, and Libya has not always been friends with the UK. Will this set off alarmbells somewhere in the MOD and cause my family to be subject to survielance, me to be extensively interviewed and waste the time of the MOD? (This may sound over the top but it has happened to many people my family know and to members of my family)
