so i was aiding at a school and an older lady(i mean like grandma old, lol) came in and started working alongside me, and she started talking about how she quit her last job because a man that worked there was gay. she was saying things like:
"i CANNOT believe i worked with...that kinda person."
"the minute i heard it, i quit right then and there, you better believe it!"
etc. etc.
and i just sat quiet
i didn't know what to say...i was just sitting there awkwardly like an idiot listening to this lady go on about how she detests gay people and i didn't even say anything.
what's worse is her son was my teacher and sports coach...crap.
what should i have done? because i don't believe sitting there uselessly was the best thing...
