Should i go with cricket just to do this...

All i want to do is use the internet... and other providers data plan is 50 dollars+. So my question how reasonable is it for me to buy a xv6700 and switch it to cricket just to browse the internet via wap and check e-mail? Is it fast enough- i live in Austin, Texas? Or should i just stick to verizon and get the 50 dollar monthly plan for unlimited data?

hey this is kinda the same situation that im in. i have my 6700 but i dont have cricket i just have jump mobile.

right now im getting the 700wx and its flashed to cricket. there is no built in wireless. so im going to use the unlimited internet plan. but i dont really care about some of the other features,

i just wanna call and go on the internet/check mail lol

If you want phone capability, you can still get that via WiFi. The only disadvantage there is that you must always be near a WiFi hotspot to do VOIP. There is no "roaming", per se.

I agree that if its unlimited data you want over voice, then stick with the Verizon data plan. Cricket's strengths are its voice and messaging services. The web services are limited and speeRAB are slow. While data is unlimited, you are limited by having to use Cricket's proxy server, which you can get around by using Google, but it's hardly convenient.

Hey Guys Just Wonderin Im Thinkin About Getting A 6700 Thing Is I Wasnt Able To Flasha 66 I Got From Ebay So What Should I Look For? What About The Samsung Slyder Phones Verizon Has? Those Are Actually Cheaper But No Stylus Has Anyone Used Em?

Voip Hmmm.... I Can Think Wifi Phone - Skype..... And Jump Mobile Give That A Shot I Mean I Doubt Youll Be Surfin The Web On The Highway Im Sure U Guys In Austin Have Much Better Wifi Connection Than Us In El Paso, Jump Mobiled Be Perfect Unlimited Incoming And Minutes When U Really Need To Erach Someone 20, 30 Bucks A Month....

Skype Charge Is 30 Dollars The Whole Year For Unlimited Us Calling
45 With Nuraber.....
But Ud Have Jump And Get It Hotspot Or Not, Thats Originally What I Planned But Still Bummed I Couldnt Flash My Phone To Begin With
