Should I go to school dances....?

im 14 and never went to one before.
i went to my friends dance before but its different.
im going in gr.9 and we have had dances since gr.7
all my friends go.
i want to go but here iis why i dont :
- dont know what to wear
- dont know how to dance/how the girls dance there
- i dont have very much makeup and im really shy
- i only have a few friends

i never danced with a guy before or had my first kiss but i realllyyy wish i did ! and i never had a bf either...

can anyone help me ?
give me some ideas, the dances are ' casual '
not formal.
 
yeah definitely go! there really fun and if your shy they can make you more confident as you'll talk to more people :)
also dont worry about what to wear and make up and stuff, thats what friends/mums are for! (:
just watch other people and see how they dancee...and dont worry bout the guys and first kiss stuff a lot of people are at that same stage as you :)maybe you'll meet a nice guy at the dance :)
