Should I get the v3i and sell my 6230b?

Hi Guys,

I posted a similar thread in the nokia and forum and am doing one here so i can get both people's opinion (nokia and motorola lovers), i have a perfect condition 6230b unbranded unlocked and i was thinking of getting the v3i. If you were in my situation would you sell the 6230b and get the v3i?

by the way, i don't use data or mms stuff on the phone so edge does not matter to me
 
it is outdated, but i guess the real question is, what does the v3i have that the 6230 doesn't

better screen
better camera - i have never used a camera on a phone though
 
well, it has iTunes, if you're interested in that kind of thing.

The big screen is a huge factor for me. After you use such a big screen, you'll never want to go back to a phone with a 128x128 screen like the 6230. Especially if you use WAP.

I used the 6230 for a few months, so I can tell you that the V3i has much better battery life. I was only getting 2 to 3 days on the 6230, while I get around 5 days with the V3i.

The reception is also as good, if not better than the 6230.
 
okay, sounds good to me

what sellers do you guys consider trustworthy on ebay for these? Any better place to get them, I have seen them on ebay brand new in box for about $280 shipped
 
I'm sure any of those ebay powersellers are just fine. Just look over the feedback before buying.

I bought mine at myworldphone.com. $340 with overnight shipping ($325 for 2 day) for the deluxe package (data cable, software, case, 256MB Memory Card). A bit pricey, but I decided to go with them because I wanted the phone overnight, and because I knew for sure that they sold the iTunes version. Some of the other stores don't specify whether it has iTunes or not. Many of the ebay sellers only ship USPS, and they usually don't get the packages in the mail for a couple of days. So as long as you're willing to wait over 1 week for the phone, just go with eBay.
 
why are people suggesting a crappy phone?

the 6230b is a GREAT phone compared to the v3i

the v3i is crap because of the 100 song limit. the 6230b has no song limit. the v3i also has no edge, the 6230b does. and for a 1 megapixelc camera, the v3i sucks, stick with the 6230b
 
If you want more than 100 songs, you can always just order the non-iTunes version, which is usually cheaper than the iTunes version.

I also think that its pretty useless to have EDGE on a 6230 since WAP browsing sucks on that little screen to begin with, unless you plan on tethering.
