Should I get the Treo 700w or the Treo 700p?

I briefly looked at the review scores given by cnet for the Treo 700w and the Treo 700p. I can't remember exactly each score, but the 700p was a given a MUCH higher score; this makes no sense to me. How can the 700w be that much worse than the 700p?

So, I have several questions.
1) What are the advantages the 700w has over the 700p?
2) What are the advantages the 700p has over the 700w?
3) If you were to make a choice between the two, which one would it
be? Why?

I know that for you to give me advice on which phone I should get, you would need to know what I want in the phone. Well, I do like the idea of the phone being like a laptop: there (as I saw in screen-shots) is a start menu and it's set up like a laptop (this set up is for the 700w). That seems cool to me. However, I don't really like the idea of getting a phone with a lower score than its counterpart. Can someone convince me why I should get the W over the P?

I am 15, so which phone do you think would be better for someone my age? And, for my age, are there any phones that would be better for a 15 year old than the treo 700's? (I've done a little research and the T-Mobile Sidekick is suppose to be good for young people, but I was less than impressed with the lack of features that appeal to me. Basically all it does is play mp3's (I have an iPod Video), play videos (I have an iPod Video), and instant message (I used to do this a lot, but have since grown out of it). So the Sidekick is out of the question for me.

And for anyone that was too bored to read all of that: Which phone, in your opinion is better, the 700w or the 700p?

Well i have the 700 wx which is like the w with more memory i think and different carrier. I was offered an exchanged and was given the option between the WX and the P and I chose the WX. I didnt get a chance to spend too much time with the P but i did have the ppc6700 which was windows based the compare the P to.

the MAIN thing i liked was it felt like the wx was faster and I LOVE being able to multi task. i could have 5 programs open, switching back and forth and it didnt slow down at all. The P from what i know of cannot multitask. A lot of the programs i needed were only available for WM5 and not palm although im pretty sure you can find an alternative somewhere.

I also like the fact that it is very similar to my comp. The desktop and today screen looks and feels the same. I like that i dont have to learn a different os.

I have head the screen is better on the P but i dont notice it. My screen looks awesome to me. I have slingbox and watch tv all the time and it looks great to me.

I think the phone is ok for anyone no matter what the age depending on what you are using it for. Im 22 and I use mine to watch tv, listen to mp3s, play games, chat, email, surf the web, use excel for my work when im on the road, but most important i have my navigation software on here. I get lost all the time and cant read maps lol.

I think it is just a matter of opinion. You will never get anywhere asking opinions because lots of ppl like the P and lots of people like the WX . i would just go test it out myself.

i think that the palm OS is a much more intuitive, innovative and elegant OS. that is probably what is influencing the scores. with palm, there is only 1 way to get to pretty much everything, and that one way is where you would expect it to be usually.

windows, OTOH, has several different and IMO sloppy ways to do any one task. i guess a good way to put it is quantity=windows and quality=palm.
that said, windows is probably more familiar if you have used a computer before.

I have messed with the Motorola Q and the Treo 700w, and I have owned palm pilots in the past. I enjoy the palm OS, and I find it efficient and well-thought out. I find that Windows mobile is in some ways familiar, but in some ways kind of counter-intuitive, complicated and sloppy.

My dream= Palm OS or Linux on the Q. MMmmm. You should still just try out the different devices and see which one feels best to you. Have you considered the Moto Q?

what, like no, you haven't considered it, or no, you won't consider it?

it can do almost all the stuff a 700w can, with half the cost and half the size.

the only problem is it is a little bit slow, but I hear there are hacks to help with that.
