should i get a wii or a 360? v.fanboysallowedineedhelp

cant decide between a 360 and a wii... wii is a lot of fun, my friend has one, but i usually dont get systems til theyve been out for a while and i can mod it. its tons of fun, but im kinda pissed it doesnt play cds or dvds. 360 on the other hand, is easily moddable and plays cds, dvds, hd dvds (with the add-on)...

i just cant decide, i know 360 is a true gamer's system, but im nervous about the red lights. wii looks like fun, but i dont want to have to drop 500+ just for a system, a controller, and a couple games.

help!

360. The problems with the initial ones are pretty much done.

360 if you want to mod. I personally went with the Wii, 360 is my 2nd choice, it's the controllers that make it for me.

I got the Wii, but I'm prety sure I'll be picking up a 360 as well. I'm still waiting on PS3 though, see what happens next year and then I'll decide.

id say 360 all the way, but all depends what kinda of games your gonna play.

wii is hands down the best for having-friends-over-multiplayer, mostly because of the intuitiveness of the controls.

the 360 is more for the whole media experience and online gaming, and doesn't seem to have much of a focus on party-type games.

if you're wary about the 360 dying, just buy the bundle they have at costco for $474.99. lifetime returns ftw.
