Should I get a tv or laptop?

I have my own job so I'm not getting this from my parents I want it for me.. Should I get a 19" LCD tv or a laptop for like$279 I'm not looking to waste my money just want something really good for the price. Any suggestions?
 
If i were you, I would get a Laptop. Before you purchase, check the RAM, the processor, and the available memory. If the laptop is $279, It's missing something. If the laptop does not have plenty of memory, it will clog up quickly and slow it down.

P.S. you can watch T.V. on your laptop, plus you will have access to youtube and all the other social networks.
