Really Tall

I am in the class of '11 and have been grad dress browsing recently. I found a long dress that I liked, but it is REALLY unflattering on my body type, so I don't want to order it in just in case I don't achieve the figure I want in time. I didn't get a picture of that one...
Anyway, there's another dress I found, but it's short... Looks like a party dress, but I -really- liked it. I has a tie-up back (sort of like the back of a corset) but I was too fat for it so I'm not putting the picture up. xD I would order it in my size, of course... Anyway, the colour is lovely (the long dress does not come in that colour), and it makes my boobs look nice (lol) and I am really happy with my body in it... but I've always dreamed of looking like a princess at grad. Here, we don't have prom, just grad, so I've never been in a fancy dress before. Grad is like prom x 1000. It goes from the pm WELL into the am... like at the end, we all have breakfast or something?? So it is a parrrrty (organized by the school, it's dry). So I don't know if I will regret getting a short dress? And it's not very fancy? I'm SUUUPER tall, so would a short dress be a good thing or a bad thing...? Anyway, what do you think?
