The Xboxes that are made now no longer get the RROD or in other words do not overheat like they used to. My old one did as I bought it two years ago but after I received the new one I realized they no longer overheat due to an improvement in the hardware. When choosing between the three types of Xbox 360s, you have to take many things into account. First of all do not buy the Arcade version unless your low on $$$ right now. The elite is a good way to go if you like black, big hard drives, and HDMI. But if you do not think you need black or if you prefer white, and also do not want to spend extra $$$ on a larger hard drive go for the Pro Console which is exactly like the original except that is no longer overheats and had HDMI. But if you are looking for sheer quality and all that go for the Elite. It is really the best of the three because of it's larger hard drive which is extremely useful. Although the quality is not better it just has more STUFF to it. It is really up to what you are looking for. Hope my advice helped, and don't buy a PS3! =)
