Should I get a PEARL?

I am really in need of a new phone and an answer.

A friend showed me his Pearl and I really liked the form factor of it. I would use the Pearl primarily as a 'phone' with little or no data or email requirements, as the present time. This could change in the future.
Should I buy the Pearl or go for a Nokia or Sony Ericsson?
I would appreciate your feedback.

If you get a Pearl you will need a blackberry dataplan for Internet and/or email.

Only you can decide which one you want.

If you not going to use data and e-mail, the Blackberry 8100 Pearl may not be for you. I say go for a different phone.

I agree with secrecyguy - without the e-mail and Internet, the Pearl is an above average phone. But I'd get a top of the line Nokia (NOT SYMBIAN) if I just wanted a phone.
