I've had this 2002 Mazda Protege since 2005, it has 90,000 miles on it. It's had a few issues here and there, nothing too major but it's not been perfect either. Most recently my headlights went out, my alternator and battery went bad and I am getting them replaced, which will be around $400-$600 for parts and labor.
Once things like the alternator start going bad is it time to get a new car, or does this happen to all cars at some point? Just wondering if it would be better to pay for repairs as they come or get a new car. I just paid off my car last summer.
