Should I get a Mac or a PC for college?

I have used pc's for my whole life and have started to get frustrated with them. Being the number of problems I have had with them the last couple years (having to fix my pc and my dad or grandmas). I'm gonna be going into my first year of college and just want to switch to macbook pro. I really like the way they're setup and I like the simplicity and organization that they have. I don't play computer games so that takes away the need for a pc.

while macs are top rated, using them for school projects is a definite issue. lets say u need to put together a powerpoint, if u created it on the mac trying to present it or transfer it to a PC is almost impossible because macs dont usually come with WORD.

also now if u find the right PC, u just might have good luck. try best buy thats where i got my PC and switched my mac for and so far im happier with the PC for school.

macs are great, just not all that great for school.

All this crap about Mac's don't get viruses, they are the best...Bullsh!t they're crappy a waist of your money and all...

I am Tired of trying to tell you people Mac's Catch Viruses like any other computer...if not then why is it that you're told "You need to install an Anti-Virus on a Mac, as you would on any computer"?

Mac's catch viruses and breakdown just as much if not even more than PC, I have to fix Mac's for client's left and right...

So, quit believing in this fairytale that Mac's are the best thing to have ever been invented, and that Mac's don't catch viruses, because they do!!!

MAC is the best since its more efficient and modern.

You wouldnt want to have problems if ever youll store in all your reports and school files right.. ^^
