should i get a kicker l7 or a jl w3?

i'm getting a ten inch sub because i want something with more bass than what i have but still hits real clean. i'm not looking to rattle my car everywhere i go and one up all my friends but i do want to be able to thump when i'm in the mood for rap. which sub is better for what i want and what kind of box should i get if i'm in a sedan

get the w7 way better than w3. its worth it in the long run
