Hi, I am a sophomore in college and need a car for commuting to my research job and volunteer locations. I expect to drive about 20 minutes average a day.
I am trying to decide between a Kia Soul, which I found very cute...it isn't priced badly too..I plan on getting the + edition which MSRPs for around 16,000... and it does come with the huge warranty (5 year bumper to bumper and 10 year power train)... and Kia is getting better supposedly. Is the Kia worth it?
Or should I go for the Toyota Prius which is considerably more expensive...and I do not know if it's excellent gas mileage will pay for itself since the parts also cost more. It MSRPs for 22,500 for the BOTTOM line...
Which car is more worth it? I am leaning towards the Soul since it's cheaper and I just need a decent car to commute in... I will be paying in cash (with help from parents too).
If not, do you have any suggestions for cars? I prefer compact.
