I am looking for a car that i can work on or mechanics if needed and start racing it. I love the way the Honda S2000 looks but I was wondering what are some opinions on this car. Should i stick with the Honda S2000 or choose another car?

you people are funny, start with a car you can afford, like a honda civic or something and start racing in amateur class. Then after you wreck your first time you will learn how to repair the car and how much it actually costs.

Those are very expensive cars to repair and upgrade. Take a trip to your local drag strip and see how many S-2000s you see...you would be surprised to find even 1. There is a reason why.

They are however okay road racing cars, but again...they take a lot of money. Just a light bulb for the headlamp of that car is about $300

They are way overpriced for what you get though. For example a 2008 S2000 new was around $34,000 and goes 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds. Not bad by any means. For $26,000 you can get a 2008 Ford Mustang GT that goes 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds. The Mustang is much cheaper and easier to modify and upgrade and has more power potential than the S2000. Just my 2 cents.

If you have the money, I say you pick up a s2k.

Their fast and look hella good with the top down especially with your girlfriend shotguning.

But the thing is that the s2k, is very compact and small. You can only fit 2 people in it.

Versus a coupe model which holds 4-5 people.

It just depends on you, but I say you pick one up. You can make it look very nice and the tuning is amazing for the s2k.

Yes i think you should do you know how much balls a stock s2000 has? very fast cars check you tube parts are not cheap but its very fast stock be careful if you buy a used one do a car fax because people beat them up if i got that car i would not do much to it because they are very fast stock but good luck with that make sure you have a good technician helping you.
