Get the hand brake Bmx bike. They are more reliable. With the pedal back brake bikes, there are some tricks impossible to do on the bike. Like riding backwards. If you jump your bikes, you will brake at the landing and it could cause a wreck.
With the gloves I would advice you to get a foxracing. There my personal favorite.
