Do you plan on using it for the streets ? The R6 has become increasingly just a track bike. All the reviews for the 2008 / 2009 say that the R6 has a terrible ride for the streets and is best at the track. If you plan on tracking then get the 08 if not the 05 should be better for street use. This is why even though the R6 always wins at the track, it never wins overall against the cbr / gszr / zx6r. Either way, I would just buy it when you find a good deal on the bike you want. theres no point of waiting...
