Ok, two sides to this.
I have had good luck with General Motors products. So, the Chevy would be fine.
On the other hand, the VW Beetles have a lot of character to them. I am thinking they are a bit more stylish and would have a better resale value down the road. (In other words, they are a cool car.) Just not real sure about how much you can "carry" in a tiny Beetle. If you are like me, I am always hauling stuff around in my car, and believe me, the extra room in the larger GM vehicle comes in handy.
