Should I forgive this bad joke? He said he wanted his payment in sex..?

My boyfriend offered several times to pay for a course for me online (I never asked him to) it was his idea. I thought it was a nice gesture, & was excited about it, sounded like a good opportunity for me to learn something that will help with my career in the future. He paid for the course 2 days ago. He tells me UNTIL today, "This is only a loan you have to pay me back".

*I said: "you should have told me this before"
*He said: “I just told you, I’m telling you now"
*I say: "You should have told me before buying it or offering it, I don’t want to worry about debts at this moment in which I don't even have a job. I don’t like being in debt with people. I only take loans when I know I can pay them sooner than later, & this is not a moment in which I can pay a debt!" (I am currently finishing university, unemployed and broke, I want to work but classes take my whole day)

*He says: “I will take the payment in sex; I want my payment in vagina".
So this of course pissed me off, HE KNOWS how much I hate stupid vulgar disrespectful comments like these. I am nowhere close to being some trashy girl, for him to talk to me like this. I am well educated, polite, & come from a good respected family background. He is a good loyal boyfriend, but when he jokes like this it really makes me think twice.
*So I told him " I’m not a s**t, go buy your vagina on the streets and get a refund of the course I don’t want it anymore".
*He says: "I’m sorry baby, I was playing tooo rough. It’s free! Now you will take it? Was the course helping you?"
*I said: "That doesn’t change the fact that I don’t want it anymore".

I know he apologized, but that doesn’t mean I should allow him disrespecting me like this.
-Should I take this as a joke, swallow my pride and take the course he already paid? OR...
- Do I have the right to be offended, reject the course he is now begging me to take for free as he says now! And leave with my pride intact?
-Does this mean he doesn’t value women or is it normal for guys to joke like this?
 
omg, GET OVER IT. it was a freaking JOKE!!!

I say stuff like that to my boyfriend all the time, and vice versa. YOU GUYS ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP!!!! my god. He obviously didn't actually mean it. AND he payed for your course. get over yourself!!

And I agree 100% with the first comment too.
 
ohhh he is such a jerk guy he just likes to have sex with u... dont take other money he will tell u again like that.. just avoid from him dump him now..
 
It was a bad joke,that's true.

If you're feeling awkward about the situation or your pride seems hurt - be stern and tell him you don't expect such stupid jokes ever in future...cause no guy should have so much power over his woman..and the guts to talk such vulgar esp if he claims to love her.
 
You should love him.

He set the whole pay me back thing in turn for the final joke. He knew exactly what you were going to say so that he could say the sex thing lol. You're looking wayy too deep into this my friend. There is no pride that needs to be swallowed, he was joking and nothing more or less. He always meant it to be free, he was just making a joke.

You know, it's ok to laugh a little...
 
You should be offended.Nobody has the right to speak to you like that. Joking or not.Sounds like he has little or no respect for women.Tell him how it made you feel and if it happens again? You can always get a grant to stay in school.Enjoy being young. One day you will wish you hadn't wasted a moment. Lot's of luck.
