I am trying to write a court scene but unable to really uniquely express it through the written word. Before I do that I would like to really understand how the court system works so the reader won't be short-changed. Hmm. Do you think I should just stick with what I already know of and move ahead with the story or vie for being more original and figuring out a way to fit the court scene into my novel?
