Depends on how much you get back. If it's going to cost you more than the check, don't bother. If you can easily get it fixed with the check (and you like your car) then I'd probably get it fixed. I totaled my '00 Firebird a few years ago and got a check for $10,000 back. Since it was beyond repair (woulda cost me far more than that simple $10k) I put the money towards a new '08 Eclipse.

Should I fix my car that was in an accident or take the check they send me and buy a previously owned car??? The car is a 2002 Mazda 626 with around 90,000 miles on it..Is it worth fixing or just use the money and get a new one?? Just looking for some opinions on what you would do?
There's close to $3000.000 worth of damage!!

That depends. Our car (which was a piece of crap) got wrecked and it wasn't even worth it to fix it. So we used the money we would have used to fix it, to buy a better car. Our new one isn't brand new. But it's a hell of a lot better than the old one. And at least we can save money for a brand new one, now. :D

The answer depends on you. Based on the information you gave, I would recommend fixing it. I am assuming you got an estimate already. If not, I would recommend going to a reputable auto body shop for an estimate and an opinion. Good luck!
