I'm not afraid of it being too dark... when I've dyed my hair darker I get a lot of compliments and many people think I look good with darker hair. My boyfriend thinks that I could pull off black or almost-black hair too.
I'm very fair (but I have more of a milky white complexion, not a transparent one) with kind of peachy-pink undertones and blue eyes. My hair is also naturally curly. What I am afraid of is it looking fake. I don't want a really dark blue-ish black... I think I would prefer a black that is maybe a little bit less black and more dark chocolately brown.
I like a more 1940's look and often (more for special occasions) choose that make up style.
