Should I dress up as Jesus Christ at an Anime Cosplay Expo?

I don't see any reason to. He's not in any anime that I know of, and it sounds like you would just be doing it for attention - and there are better ways.

No you shouldn't.

It is the sign of psychological maturity to respect others, and to also respect their religion, even if you do not share their beliefs. It is the sign of a child to get all excited about flaunting convention and being a "bad boy/girl" ... you see this from the very youngest of ages when pre-schoolers say words like "pee" and then giggle in delight at how awesomely daring they are. Your costume is just an older version of the same awesome immaturity.
