Joyful Days

Hi. I went and bought a plastic-wrapped pieces of bacon. Apparently butchers at the shopping place cut a huge piece of bacon into smaller pieces, so they were quite big. (Nothing like thin raw bacon). The label says "smoked bacon & cured with salt". Since it is smoked, at least the surface of pieces seemed to be cooked. So I was wondering if it is safe to eat raw. I had it cooked on a frying pan until the pieces got bit crispy but definitely not long enough as I would cook pure raw meat.
Is the meat safe to be eaten raw? If not, will I get some sick disease for having it slightly cooked?
Help plz. Thanks!
