Should I continue to dodge the mother's phone call?

Neice's friend slept over a couple days ago. They all wanted to go ice fishing with Uncle-M. She insisted on wearing her wind breaker despite my warnings about how cold it is on the lake. Everyone else dressed appropriately and urged her to wear a warmer coat.

This kid was a brat from the word go, even my neice couldnt stand the visit. Everytime she opened her mouth it was to insult someone or push someone around. The icing on the cake was right before she got out of the car the kid looks me right in the eye and tells me my house was disgusting. Which, besides that the comment doesn't make any sense, (anyone will tell you my house looks like a navy ship) I was floored that she even thought it, considering the palace I picked her up at, let alone said it.

I said have fun fishing and stay warm in that windbreaker.

So, oopsy, I accidentally forgot to pick them up for two hours. That was Sunday. Now the phone keeps ringing. I'm sure it's to rip me. If you were that mom and your call was dodged long enough would you eventually go away? I don't need to have a battle or come out on top. Kid's not welcome back, so I really don't care how this ends.
They are 10.
