I'm applying for an IT job at an insurance company and I already applied through their website. On the FAQ's, they say they don't give the recruiters info to external applicants, however, my father already works for the company and found out who the recruiter is. I found him on LinkedIn, and was wondering if I should just wait it out until he calls me, or contact him through LinkedIn (it does say he's interested in job inquires) to let him know I'm interested and the position I applied for. Also, should I mention to anyone that my father works for them (15+ years) besides the referral section on the application page or should I keep quiet about that?
